Gracie--The Scrapbook

This is the title page for little Gracie's book. Because this pic was taken on Christmas Eve, I used a bit of Christmas paper. The lettering was cut with my Slice from the Remember This design card. I love this font! Also, I used the Martha Stewart PATP snowflake punches for the photo mat, and the larger EK Success snowflake border punch.
The scrapbook is 8" x 8".

Puppy scrapbook

I have the scrapbook for Miss Gracie started! I am hoping to get the finishing touches done on a couple of pages and get them posted before the week is out.

Back to Gracie

I made these cards with Gracie's "baby picture" to send as thank yous for those who had a part in her coming to be my new little girl. Some gave me Christmas money, and many prayed that the weather would cooperate for my trip to get her. I appreciate all the support of my family and friends during this time.
The card is an A2 size with all four corners rounded (hand punch). The front was run through my Cuttlebug with the embossing folder from the "Baby" card making set. It has a nice flat band in the design which was the perfect place to use my Dream a Little Dream stamp from the House Mouse collection. Gracie's photo was punched with a square punch from SU, and double matted with a blue and pink layer of scalloped squares. I think the pink layer is done with Nestabilities, and the blue one is cut with my Slice machine. A small pink bow finishes off the corner of the picture.

Bulletin Board for January

I completed this bulletin board for my Sunday School department a couple weeks ago, but forgot to take my camera then. I thought it was a nice winter sky background.
The Bible verse is cut from Printing 101. I love this font for bulletin boards! The bare trees are cut from Heritage, deer are from Wildlife, the pines are from Christmas Noel, and the stars are from Tie the Knot.

Gracie is home at last!

Home at last, and she is a very busy girl. So much exploring to do, so little time! She has decided that she is definitely my girl, and I am so happy about that!
Our household is more fun with a puppy in the house! So glad we found each other. I have already started sketching out the beginning pages of her scrapbook. Now to find the time to begin!

Gracie is growing up

Here she is...with her little ears starting to stand up! Isn't she the cutest puppy ever? She is nearly old enough to leave her mother and come live with us. The suspense is killing me! LOL

Slice update

When I first brought my Slice machine home, it did not cut circles well. There were a few other basic shapes that did not cut well, especially if they were under 2". On the Basics 2 design card, there is a callibrate choice in the menu. I plugged my machine in, put waste paper on my glass mat, and selected callibrate. After it was finished (it reminded me of what my printer does when I put in a new ink cartridge), all my cutting issues were resolved. I can now cut any shape--any size--and it comes out perfectly.

January card swap

This is for the January card swap. The colors are off just a bit. They are brighter in person. All cuts were made with my new Slice machine. I really do like that little gizmo. I wouldn't have liked it full price, but at 49.99 it is a great little cutter.
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the background paper, then I chalked the tiny hearts to make them stand out. I stamped the tag and inked the edges. A purple dew drop was added to the large heart. The small heart and the tag were pop dotted.
