Graduation card time...

This is not the best lighting in the world, but I think my grad card came out pretty well.  The owl is made with Stampin Up owl punch, a scalloped circle punch (the wings), and a modified 1" square punch for the mortarboard.  I used Sizzix Notepad sizzlit dies for the gold numbers.

Triple Layer Card - Snowman

We learned to make the triple layer cards last month at Stamp club.  I thought the layout would be perfect for my little snowman stamp.  He called "Snowman Skates" and is made by Whipper Snapper Designs .

The paper is white confetti purchased at Office Max.  The blue is Pacific Point from Stampin Up.  I also used Pacific Point ink for the stamped images.  Snowflake embellishments were done with a border punch for the sides, and a Cuttlebug die for the full snowflake that is layered and glittered.

Butterfly series card #6

Number six is also quite pretty.  I need to make another set of these.  They would be a wonderful gift set.

Butterfly series card #5

This one is my favorite.  I love the rich red against the black background.  Another triple layered butterfly for the embellishment.

Butterfly series card #3

Card number three in the butterfly series.  These cards were given away at our card swap.  Luckily, I have more of the mat stack so I can make more of them.  The inside was also cut with the top note die and stamped "Thinking of You" for the swap theme.

Butterfly series card #2

Butterfly card #2.  Same paper stack and embellishments as the last card.  I also used a small flat backed pearl on the butterfly center.

Butterfly card series

I recently purchased the Stampin Up top note die.  I love it!  I used it for a series of butterfly cards.  The paper is the DCWV Mariposa mat stack.  I could not decide how to use this paper, but once I received the top note die, I tried it with the paper and love the way the series turned out!  The card background is black, so that is why it is so hard to see.  I tied a bow with black ribbon for interest.  The butterflies are a Stampin Up embosslit (cuts and embosses in one step).  Super simple, but it looks really nice IRL.

Horse Series #2

This is another in the series of horse cards. I used DCVW Rustic stack for the background, and stamped the trees with Stampin Up's Lovely as a Tree set. I decided the horse needed to be ivory to contrast with the card elements, and I shaded its mane and tail just a bit with a Prisma watercolor pencil. The horse and fence were both cut from Old West, and I also ran the fence through my Cuttlebug. The folder is called Distress Stripes, and I inked the fence to show the embossing. The fence also has been "popped" to make it stand out from the card & horse a bit. The colors are better in person, and it has a really nice autumnal feel to the coloring. Thanks for looking! Please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you!

Breast cancer--get well card

A call has gone out to the Cricut MB members to make cards for Monique, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

This is the card that I made for her. The awareness ribbon was cut from Stand & Salute, and the penguins are from Zooballoo. Sentiment stamp is from SU!, and the punch is a MS border punch. I hope the penguin sliding down the pink ribbon makes Monique smile!

Thinking of You

I was very happy with the way this card turned out, if I do say so myself. The butterfly border is a MS punch, and the large butterfly is a Cuttlebug die/embossing combo. The sentiment was stamped on black with the SU! white craft pad. I think it looks like writing on a chalkboard. The patterned papers are from DCWV Mariposa mat stack.

Cherish

I love the clean simplicity of a two-tone card. The white is embossed with the Welcome Baby Cuttlebug card combo folder. The butterfly is an SU! punch. The sentiment is also by SU!

Cartridge Challenge for Autism

I joined a card challenge on the Cricut messageboard for Autism. The challenge was to make a project using a puzzle piece. I used a puzzle piece from Printing 101 and set up the cut file in Design Studio to get the opening on the front of the card.

I used the puzzle piece that was cut from the front to embellish the inside of the card. The stamps include Penny Black "Bees and Bunny" and SU! "Pocket Silhouettes." The small butterflies are hand punched.

The border on the white piece inside the card was done with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set "Loopy."

I added a bit of Stickles to the bees' wings and to the center of the daisy. "Bees and Bunny" images were colored with Prisma watercolor pencils.
